How to Dupe in PSO for XBOX with Action Replay for Dummies

Welcome!  This page will teach you how to dupe in pso for XBOX with a action replay.  Before I get started with the actual tutorial I will answer some FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions)
 
FAQ
 
Q. The save I downloaded off the internent won't work!
 
A. In their infinite wisdom (sarcasm) sonic team decided to add protection to their saves so the save will only work on the memory card it was saved to.  Maybe someone can crack this :-)
 
Q. When I try to dupe it says character corrupted!
 
A. The memory card that comes with action replay is crappy.  Use another memory card.  If you do this you will have to reinstall the drivers.
 
Q. How do I hack a save game to change stats and stuff?
 
A. I have tried this and from what I see there is not only protection to make sure the save is used on the same memory unit as saved to but there is protection (proably a checksum) n the save game so if you change only one thing it will say character corrupted.  Don't try this with your good saves! I have also checked for possible date protection in the saves and there appears to be none.

How To Dupe For Dummies
 
Step 1: Acquire the items you wish to dupe
 
Step 2: Create a new character
 
Step 3: In offline multiplayer mode give the stuff you want to dupe to the new character
 
Step 4: Goto offline single player mode section, select the new character with the stuff on it you want to dupe, and choose move character and move it to your memory card.
 
Step 5: Use the action replay to copy the save from the memory card to your computer
 
Step 6: Go to the offline single player character selection screen and recreate the new character you just copyied to your memory card
 
Step 7: Go to offline multiplayer with another character and the character on the memory card by picking a temp char slot and moving the character from the memory card to the temp char slot and give your stuff from the character on the memory card to another character.
 
Step 8: Quit  the game and move the temp character back the the memory card.
 
Step 9: Use the action replay and copy the save you stored on your computer earlier back to your memory card.  Let it overwrite the save.  Now your item is duped and you go back to multi player with a character and the character and the memory card and give the copied item to another character again.  You now have 2 of the item!  Repeat step 9 as required to get as many copies of the item as you need!
 
Step 10: Enjoy the duped items!!!!
